Will I meet my dog walker?

A free no obligation consultation is offered which gives us the opportunity to meet you and your dog and to find out more about your dog's personality and specific needs and help you and your dog decide if they like us and help you decide whether you'd like to come on board and use our services. 

How many dogs are walked at any one time?

We will not walk more than six dogs at a time so that we can ensure we are in complete control of your dog and can give them the full care and attention that is required.

How do you arrange collection and return of the dogs?

Your dog will be collected from your home, transported and returned safely and securely by car. 

What areas do you cover?

The Other Dog Walker covers the Portsmouth and Southsea area.

Are you police checked?

A Criminal Records Disclosure is held and documentation can be viewed during consultation.

Are you insured?

The Other Dog Walker is fully insured by a specialist pet business insurance company. Documentation can be viewed during consultation.

Where do you walk the dogs?

We only walk our dogs in enclosed areas or spaces safely enough away from busy roads so that if you allow, your dog can be let off the lead to run, swim, play and explore their environment. Typical walks include Great Salterns Park, Foxes Forest, Alexandra Park, Portsdown Hill, Milton Common and Eastney Common and beach.

What is your cancellation policy?

We do endeavour to be as flexible and accommodating as possible but If you need to cancel or add a walk last minute, please try to give us at least 24 hours notice.

What do you do in case of an emergency?

In the unlikely event of an emergency, we will immediately call and notify you. If veterinary assistance is required, we will take your dog to your nominated vet or to the nearest possible one depending on the circumstances.
